The Ropata Team

UK born, but trained as a New Zealand Registered Nurse, Tamsin worked in Hospital and Medical Centre settings before heading overseas for her mandatory “OE”. It was in the UK that Tamsin first worked in the aged care setting in beautiful Cornwall. On return to New Zealand, she owned and operated a number of businesses, including Kapiti Rest Home. Later she worked in Real Estate to support her two young children as a single mother. This took her through various roles, sales, academy training and management. In May 2022, Tamsin took a role as Manager for Woburn Enliven home with over 100 staff and multiple levels of care. Late 2024, to her parents declining health, she took 6 months off from work. In September 2025, Tamsin joined our team as Facility Manager. She loves the smaller facility with it’s community feel and is looking forward to helping our residents live their best lives possible.

“I am an internationally qualified registered nurse with over ten years of experience across India, the UAE, and New Zealand. With a strong background in hospital-level aged care, I now serve as the Clinical Coordinator at Ropata Lodge. I am committed to providing high-quality, compassionate, and person-centred care, ensuring every resident’s dignity, comfort, and safety. I truly love my work, enjoy building meaningful relationships with residents and their families, and care for each resident as if they were part of my own family.”

Catherine has joined us after running several of her own business’s within the hospitality industry for the last 26 years. Seeking a change of direction she is thoroughly delighted to be working with the friendly team at Ropata and really enjoying liaising with the residents too. At home she is a wife and a mother to two grown up children and two rambunctious and crazy dogs! Most days she can be found walking the dogs either in Trelissick Park or navigating one of the many paths of Te Ahumairangi Hill.
